New appointment at Learning Ireland - Lydia Brow
Lydia Brow has recently joined the team in Learning Ireland, bringing a wealth of exhibition experience to her new role as Creative Director of Which Course Expo 2010.
Lydia studied Art in NCAD and Grennen Mill Kilkenny, and Make-up for TV, Film and Theatre in IADT. She has worked as a freelance make-up artist for a number of Irish publications including the Sunday Independent's Life Magazine, You magazine, Confetti, Kiss magazine, Irish Tatler and Irish Brides magazine.
Lydia also ran her own gallery in Powerscourt Townhouse called 'I love magpies' last year where she sold her own work along side other artists. A Sunday Independant profile described our latest recruit as a 'creative dynamo'!
Lydia has plenty of experience running art exhibitions, this summer she has organised a group show for Dun Laoghaire's Festival of World Cultures in July.
'I am thrilled to be working in Learning Ireland on the Which Course exhibition this August,' says Lyida. 'I have organised art exhibitions before and I'm looking forward to working on a large scale exhibition in the RDS. This is a great opportunity for me to develop my event organising skills. My role here is to use my creative head to develop ideas for this year's show. It is exciting working with the Learning Ireland team on this project. I hope my ideas will make the show more visually exciting and interactive for the visiting public and our exhibitors.'
We're sure they will Lydia!
